Every Icon in world in conflict consists of three important steps. The first one is the actual art piece or asset that will be seen in the game. The second is the Alpha for the image. A alpha is a gray scale image that, among other things, the graphic engine use to read transparency in the icon graphics. If you want a round Icon, the actual art is a square image but the alpha is round. 100% white is solid (will be shown) and 100% black will be totally transparent.

The last step is saving and naming the image correctly so that the engine knows which image goes where.
